The Pepperdine University cross country squads will open their 2025 campaign by playing host at the Waves Invitational this Friday, August 29 on campus in Malibu, Calif.
The women will contest 4,000 meters, while the men will run 6k.
In addition to the host Waves, Long Beach State and Cerro Coso Community College are expected to compete.
The Waves women were tenth in the rigorous West Coast Conference a year ago for Head Coach Lauren Floris, while the men finished seventh.
Junior Elizabeth Crawford was the Waves top female finisher in the WCC meet, while senior Patrick Thomas and junior Gordy Nilsen finished 30th and 31th a year ago for the men's team at the CC Champs in Lodi, CA.
