Cool Breeze Invitational Recap

POMONA, Calif. -- The 2025 Cool Breeze Invite, hosted by Claremont (Southern Section), didn’t disappoint with many stellar performances among both the girls and boys competitors. It was held at the Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, California on Saturday, August 30. This meet was action packed with programs of all calibres coming out to show their early season fitness. Each race was three miles long.

Girls Varsity - Sundown Showdown

Isabella Ramos (8/30/2025)

Isabella Ramos from Point Loma HS took the individual title in a time of 16:59.7, about 4 seconds ahead of the second place finisher, Ananya Balaraman (17:03.6) of North Hollywood HS. Rounding out the three individual finishers was Becky Osorio from West Covina HS who ran a time of 17:04.8.

Oak Park HS took the team championship with a score of 119 points, led by Kathleen Lambe who finished in 9th place in a time of 17:23.2. Clairemont HS was second place with 123 points and in third was WIlson (Long Beach) with 146 points.

Boys Varsity - Sundown Showdown

Jace Deledonne (8/30/2025)

Jace Deledonne from Poly (Riverside) HS was the individual champion in a time of 14:20.8, followed by Faith Lutheran HS’s Brady Anderson in 14:24.9. Third place was Silas Aberer from Burroughs (Ridgecrest) HS in a time of 14:31.9.

On the team side, Hart HS won with a point total of 114, led by Jameson Wiley in a time of 14:48.5 and teammate Samuel Aina right behind him in 14:51.8. The second place team was La Serna HS with 145 points and in third was Granada HS with 155 points.

Girl’s Varsity - Small School

Monserrat Santillan Silva from Century HS won in a time of 17:43.5. On the team side, San Marcos (SB) won with a total of 68 points.

Boy’s Varsity - Small School

Olly O’Connor from Viewpoint HS won in a time of 14:56.4. On the team side, Viewpoint won with a total of 30 points.

Girl’s Varsity - Large School

Katelyn Elliot from Carlmont HS won in a time of 17:27.1. On the team side, Yucaipa won with a total of 48 points.

Boy’s Varsity - Large School

Tyler White from Murrieta Valley HS in a time of 15:07.2. On the team side, Liberty-Winchester won with a total of 105 points.
