Fresh off a move from NAIA to NCAA Division II, Vanguard University plays host to the 33rd annual Vanguard Invitational this Saturday, September 5 at George Mason Regional Park in Irvine.
The men's 8k (3 loops with mostly pavement) will kick off action at 9:45am, while the women's 6k (2 loops) starts at 9:30am.
The Lions were preseason-ranked sixth for both the men and women in the coaches Pac West Conference poll. Cooper Anderson is the leader for the Lions men, while Kate Baranski leads 11 newcomers to the squad this fall.
