LOMPOC, Calif. (Sept. 19, 2025) – Three weeks after their 2025 season opener, the UC Santa Barbara Men's and Women's Cross Country teams are heading to Lompoc on Friday, Sept 19 where they will host and compete at the Gaucho Twilight. The Gauchos will be facing five other teams, including Big West competitors Cal Poly SLO and CSU Bakersfield.

LAST MEET
The Gauchos started their season with a sweep at the Big Wave Invitational, hosted by Pepperdine, where both the men's and women's teams claimed first place team finishes. Senior Zachary Parker blazed to victory with a time of 17:44.6 on the 6k course, taking juniors Parker Simmons and Manny Correia with him for top-10 finishes. On the women's side, freshman Adeline Oversmith placed second in the 4k with a time of 13:23.0, followed closely behind by fellow freshman Isabel Ross in third at 13:41.2. Danielle Hollander and Lindsey Reed also finished in the top 10, helping secure the team win.
COMING UP
After their home meet, Santa Barbara will have just two weeks of preparation and recovery before traveling to the Pacific Northwest for the Charles Bowles Invite in Salem, Ore. hosted by Willamette on Oct. 4. The men will compete on the 8k course, while the women are set to run on the 5k course.
