Men's XC Finishes Third at Pomona-Pitzer Invite

CLAREMONT, CA — The Pomona-Pitzer men's cross country team placed third in the Pomona-Pitzer XC Invite Saturday morning.

The Sagehens totaled 53 points with four runners finishing in the top 15. The team finished behind second place The Master's (49) and meet winner Cal Poly Pomona (26).

Jack Stein led Pomona-Pitzer with an impressive sixth place individual finish, running a time of 24:43.9. Amir BarkanPeter Neid, and Jefferson Wright followed Stein and finished 12th, 13th, and 14th overall. Barkan finished with 25:13.1, Neid with 25:16.3, and Wright finished an individual running time of 25:17.3.

Owen Irving finished 17th with a 25:31.8, while Nate Wehner followed in 19th with a 25:36.9. Evan Williams also finished in the top 30 with a time of 25:59.8.

Up Next: The Sagehens will be on the road in Rock Island, Illinois to compete at the Augustana XC Invite on Saturday, October 18th at 11:00 a.m, with part of the team also competing at the UCR Highlander Invite the same day at 8:00 a.m.
