REDONDO BEACH, Calif. -- The 2nd annual Sea Hawks Cross Country Relay kicked off action in the 2025 season Saturday afternoon in the South Bay. The event, which featured a 5 x 3,000 meter set up, was won by Riverside Martin Luther King on the girl's side and the hosts Redondo Union in boy's action.
The Wolves, a traditional power out of the Inland Empire, ran 52:18.63 to edge Coach Jay Waldron’s Warren girls squad (54:12.85) by almost two minutes for the victory.
The Redondo boys (42:42.17) won by almost the same margin over Burroughs Ridgecrest (44:40.18).
